accessing stat!ref links you emailed to yourself

After searching the Stat!Ref database, you can click on Email Link which will cause a "floating envelope" to appear. When you see the floating envelope, simply click on your screen and you'll get the "Email A Link" dialog box.

After you've emailed the citations or articles to yourself, take note of the URL toward the bottom of your email message (just above the "Warnings"):

You will need to enter the proxy server prefix in front of the URL before pasting it to the address field of your favorite browser (Netscape, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, etc.). Instead of this, for example:

http://online.statref.com/Notes/ResolveNote.aspx?NoteID=13209&grpalias=TEX

Enter this:

http://nhmcproxy.nhmccd.edu/login?url=http://online.statref.com/Notes/ResolveNote.aspx?NoteID=13209&grpalias=TEX
